Meet Ted Thompson and Shelley Harper, the dynamic duo behind Con*Quest™ Journals – where fandom and creativity collide!

Our journey began with Ted's passion for snowboarding, leading to the birth of One Less Nemesis, a quirky t-shirt brand. Shelley, navigating the challenges of working from home and shuttling her two kids around, joined the adventure. Little did they know that a chance encounter at Portland Comic-con would spark the idea for something extraordinary.

While surrounded by bustling vendors, including a booming journal booth and a photo-op protectors stall, inspiration struck. "Why not create a journal for con memories, photo-ops, and artwork?" they mused. And so, the Con*Quest™ Adventure Journal was born!

After a successful Kickstarter and some insightful lessons, they realized the magic lay in fandom. A Supernatural-inspired journal became their breakthrough, complete with a call to Tracey Gurney for a "bloodier and dirtier" design. With a new printer, custom bindery, and Supernatural fandom support, Con*Quest™ Journals took flight.

The journey expanded to GenCon, where they crafted convention journals and binders, later evolving into specialized Gamer Journals. Recognition came from GenCon, becoming an official licensee through 2019.

In 2015, fate smiled upon them at a Supernatural convention when a Hot Topic buyer discovered their booth. This encounter led to an official license with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for Supernatural paper goods. The rest, as they say, is history.

Fast forward to 2017 – a pitch to WBCP for the Harry Potter license, a dream that became a reality. Con*Quest™ Journals unveiled the magical world of Harry Potter with a weekly planner and the Dark Arts boxed set of journals.

Now, with licenses for Riverdale, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Rick and Morty, Friends, and more, Con*Quest Journals has become a staple nationwide. In 2021, we opened our first warehouse and office in Indianapolis, IN, marking a new chapter in our story.
